A character series dies in the second generate more often than in the first. Take 1 looks fine. Take 2 changes the jacket, softens the jawline, or invents a second face.

Step 2: Change One Variable Per Sequel
Keep Seed locked for every follow-up that must match style and appearance. Ask for one change at a time: a slow push-in, a head turn, or a lighting shift.
Broad “make it better” prompts invite the model to renegotiate the person. Click update on Seed only when a deliberate new look is required.
Step 3: Score Identity Before More Motion
Place each new clip beside Take 1. Inspect face, hands, and costume edges. Identity fail means immediate discard.
If two takes both pass identity but disagree on mood, keep both as candidates. Do not unlock Seed to invent a third mood while the package is open.
A desk running video ai should measure success as locked identity across clips, not as the single most dramatic preview.
When identity holds across three takes, stop. Extra “safety” generates belong in a fork folder.
Handle References And Filenames As Controls
Upload wardrobe or face stills before the first locked take and keep them attached while Seed stays locked. Treat each new mid-series upload as one experiment, then re-check identity.
Name files like continuity slates: take-01 approved, take-02 candidate, take-02 discard. A short package usually needs three kept takes, not twelve almosts.
Reviewers who can see discard reasons without opening the clip waste fewer minutes. Extra unlocked experiments belong in a separate fork folder with a new seed, so they cannot contaminate the locked package during a late export rush.

Seed Lock Does Not Clear Rights Or Marks
Seed improves stylistic coherence. It does not grant commercial rights, remove a free-plan watermark, or fix an illegal upload of a protected likeness.
When a take fails hard checks, discard it and tighten the next prompt. If the package must ship watermark-free, confirm plan status before building more locked takes that cannot leave the draft folder.
Optional controls such as Web Search can enrich a scene later. Turn them on only after the character package is stable, or the desk invents a new variable every take and never learns which change broke the face.
Series Close Checklist
Close the package only when all of the following are true:
- Seed stayed locked from the first accepted take through the kept sequels.
- Takes 2 and 3 still recognize Take 1 on face and costume.
- Filenames show approved versus discard without opening the player.
- Any “new vibe” request was forked, not silently unlocked.
