Anthony Mastellone AdCopy Interview

Meet Anthony

Hey there! Anthony Mastellone here. I’ve been in the SaaS and digital marketing space since 2015. Over the past 9 years I’ve had the opportunity to build, scale and exit ventures within the SaaS, eCommerce and Agency landscape.

I had initially got started in affiliate marketing and worked my way into eCommerce which allowed me to take my first real swing at advertising online using a hybrid of Facebook ads and Instagram influencers. From there I’ve built platforms, tools, education systems, and services around paid media. We truly hit a stride in eCommerce + Lead Gen over the past few years in our agency which then led to the ideation behind AdCopy.ai – to be a tool we would use internally to make media buying easier for our teams.

Once we saw the power within the vision being built, we knew it was special and needed to be brought to the public. We still operate our agency at a high level but AdCopy being live for the past year has truly become our biggest focus to innovate & develop an intuitive ad launching suite that anyone can use.

Can you give us a brief overview of AdCopy and its core functionalities?

AdCopy.ai is a Meta Ad Launching suite that allows advertisers to publish countless high quality ads in less time. With our Meta Integration, you can publish dozens of ads to any of your ad accounts in a matter of moments.

Our goal is to minimize labor and the time spent in ads manager while publishing the best possible ads for your brand in seconds. Any junior buyer can be added to your AdCopy account without being inside of your Meta Business Manager and publish new ads into new campaigns or existing campaigns so that you can get tests or new iterations launched in a fraction of the time.

How does AdCopy leverage AI to improve Facebook Ads?

Besides rapid fire ad publishing with our condensed interface, the real important part is that AdCopy provides the bridge between your ad account and the power of AI. Once integrated, AdCopy custom tailors your own AI data stream to learn from the performance in your ad account and create high quality copy for you that is perpetually improving as you continue to publish more ads. We aim to continue working AI into more facets of our data recognition, performance insights and actionable automation in the future.

What sets AdCopy apart from other ad optimization tools on the market?

AdCopy makes ad launching & generating high quality copy easier than any other platform out there. In a simple & condensed manner AdCopy provides a superior experience that allows you to benefit from the sheer mission of the platform – to spend less time clicking around Meta ads manager. Anyone with minimal experience to some of the massive brands & agencies we have using AdCopy can integrate Meta and get ads launched in a matter of minutes rather than hours.

Furthermore, we are the backbone to powerhouse agencies to allow them to connect multiple ad accounts and have their junior level buyers publishing ads on their behalf without having to worry about profile access in your Business Manager. It’s a huge leg up with limited perms that allows people to get menial creative testing launched in no time.

What kind of insights can users expect to gain from using AdCopy?

It’s become tremendously easier to find ads that work. Rather than manually uploading, duplicating, renaming and adjusting in ads manager like a robot for hours, AdCopy provides the ability to launch creative iterations faster than any other system on the market. Ad buying is truly made simple using our platform. We aim to introduce more metrics and in-app data to review in the near future as well which will allow us to identify those winners for you, rather than sifting through performance data manually.

What are the most common challenges users face when creating & optimizing Facebook ads, and how does AdCopy address them?

The biggest challenge is simply not launching enough ads. Facebook is a machine that needs to be fed. Launching 1-2 ads per week will likely never allow you to find true scalable winners. Using AdCopy, you can launch a creative testing campaign with 30 individual creatives that will allow you to be running in minutes and just sit back to see what performs best so you can double down on your winners.

How do you stay ahead of competition in the rapidly evolving SaaS market?

The best way to stay ahead is by practicing what we preach and listening to customers. We spend millions per month on Meta ads at the AdCopy Agency and it allows us to see what’s going on with the platform while also understanding what our customers (typically Agencies & Brands) need to succeed! It’s a highly competitive space of super talented companies, but being an avid user and ideal customer of what we’ve built originating as an agency ourselves, allows us to be on top of the needs of consumers rather than playing a game of catch up.

What’s your prediction for the future of AI in advertising in the next 5-10 years?

In the next 5-10 years I believe AI will drastically shift the landscape for creation of ads and immersive, guided shopping experiences. AI will know your needs, suggestions will be laser targeted, and most ad creation will be infinitely scalable to make predictable winning ads in reach for high level advertisers with the most data.

What advice would you give to new entrepreneurs entering the SaaS industry?

Validate your idea by speaking to potential customers. Stay as lean as possible and don’t worry about writing production level code until you have meaningful validation from a scalable market that you can make an impact on over long periods of time. Have as many conversations as you can before going all in. Once you have enough proof and data to back your thesis, start digging for the best possible people to help you bring your vision to life. No project can come to life with just 1 person thinking they can do it all. It takes multiple A players with aligned vision, values, and goals.

Did you enjoy our interview? Do you have anything to say to our community?

I definitely did! It was a nice opportunity to step back and reflect on some things. To the SaaS Pirate community, thank you for taking the time to learn about our vision for advertising as this is only the beginning. We have so much in store and hope to see you along our journey! If you ever want to speak with me just reach out to our company and we hope to hear that we’ve made a positive impact on your business in one way or another. Cheers!
