Meet Laurin
I’m Laurin Wirth and I am the Founder of WhisperTranscribe. With our tool, you can generate a summary, titles, show notes, a blog post, social media posts, or custom article from your audio.
He accepted SaaSPirate request to an interview on SaaS industry and his role in WhisperTranscribe company. We were privileged to have the chance to got the sort of in-depth conversation you will not see on the internet.
Without any further delay, let’s hear what he has to say!
Hi Laurin, please introduce yourself to our audience and tell us a bit about your industry experience?
I am Laurin and I am the founder of WhisperTranscribe. We help creators turn their audio or video into reusable content. This includes social media posts, blog posts, summaries and more. It’s a bit like your own ChatGPT for your audio.
What inspired you to start WhisperTranscribe, and what were the key factors that influenced your decision?
My co-founders and I saw how much time podcasters spend on creating content to promote their shows and create all assets they need for their podcast. We first created an MVP for a colleague that then turned into a business shortly after. Since then we have been serving 5k+ users and saving them time every day.
How does WhisperTranscribe differentiate itself from other audio-to-text platforms, and what is unique about your business model?
We really focus on creating content once the audio is transcribed. We strongly believe that transcriptions alone will continue to be commoditized in the future. Our vision is to be the content hub for creators (podcasters, agencies, YouTubers) that they can use to quickly repurpose their existing content and grow their audience.
What would be your advice for other startups who’d like to get involved in software industry?
Launching on a LTD platform can be a big boost to your growth as it will fuel your product development and help you grow through word of mouth.
Competing with VC backed companies can often be daunting and finding scalable marketing channels that don’t require a huge investment is challenging.
What trends in the digital marketing and SaaS industries are you most excited about?
I think AI is a game changer for many small founders. You can now build amazing AI tools with the existing technology that add real value to your customers. The moat of AI companies (in my opinion) is not the technology itself but rather the user experience and how you build your brand and build relationships with your customers.
Who are some people you admire in the SaaS space?
Pieter Levels, Danny Postma, and Jakob Greenfeld
Where can we find you when you’re not working?
In the gym or running!
Did you enjoy our interview? Do you have anything to say to our community?
