Meet Roman
My name is Roman from TaskJect, an experienced sales guy and SaaS enthusiast. A couple of years ago, together with a partner, we decided to build our own mobile and web apps.
What inspired you to build TaskJect?
Our development team’s needs were the strongest inspiration. We couldn’t find a suitable solution for simple daily project management. Some tools felt like improved Google Sheets, while others were overcomplicated. As we had expertise in web apps and decided to build one for internal usage.
What makes TaskJect different from generic project management tools?
Super simple to onboard and use, while it offers advanced features that provide a high-level view.
Can you walk us through how a team would use TaskJect daily?
From task creation and personal to-do lists to high-level analytics for insights into the team, specific members, or a project.
What are the biggest mistakes you see in task & project management today?
The fact you teams actually allocate a lot of time to just manage projects. From choosing tools and heavy onboarding, to actually hours spent daily by teams just logging tasks.
What role will AI play in task and project management?
Prioritization, SWOT analytics, Project planning, and synchronization across work tools.
How do you help teams avoid task overload or burnout?
First of all, project management with TaskJect does not really take any time. Secondly, managers see workloads and progress across employees allowing them to actually balance it depending on the current performance.
How has the product evolved since launch? What’s your long-term vision for TaskJect?
We’ve added new modules and integrations that allow specialists to save time on daily tasks, from making personal planning and notes to simplified work with GitHub.
What advice would you give founders building in the SaaS industry?
Don’t overcomplicate whatever you build. Your vision and needs don’t always align with the users’ vision.
Did you enjoy our interview? Do you have anything to say to our community?
A community of the same SaaS enthusiasts as myself is great. Love it!
