Meet Sebastian
Hi, I’m Sebastian Żarnowski, Founder of Localo. My journey in digital marketing started almost 7 years ago. Seeing the challenges small and local businesses face with digital marketing, I decided to create a tool that simplifies local SEO and makes it accessible to business owners without deep technical expertise or big marketing budgets.
What inspired the creation of Localo?
Localo was born out of a real gap in the market. Many small and local business owners struggle with SEO because most tools are built for agencies or SEO professionals. They need something straightforward, actionable, and effective. While working with multiple clients, I saw how AI and automation could simplify complex processes. I wanted to bring that same approach to local SEO—giving business owners a tool that doesn’t just analyze but actively helps them improve their rankings with clear, step-by-step actions.
How does Localo differentiate itself from other local SEO tools?
Most local SEO tools focus on data and analytics, showing rankings and competitor insights but leaving users unsure of what to do next. Localo stands out by being action-oriented. We don’t just track performance; we provide AI-driven recommendations that guide users through optimizing their Google Business Profile (GBP), improving local search visibility, and increasing customer engagement. It’s a hands-on approach designed for people who don’t have SEO expertise but need real results.
Can you walk us through how Localo optimizes Google Business Profiles?
Absolutely. Localo audits your Google Business Profile, your competitors’ activities and tens of other signals to identify gaps and optimization opportunities. Then, it provides AI-generated suggestions for improving descriptions, selecting the right categories, and adding high-performing keywords. We also help businesses manage customer reviews, track competitor actions, and suggest content ideas for posts. It’s like having a local SEO expert guiding you every step of the way, ensuring your GBP is always optimized for maximum visibility and engagement.
How does AI play a role in the features Localo offers?
AI is at the core of Localo. We use it to analyze ranking data, understand competitor strategies, and generate personalized recommendations. Our AI-powered content suggestions help businesses craft better GBP descriptions and posts, while automated review management makes it easier to respond to customers effectively. Instead of overwhelming users with raw data, AI enables us to deliver practical, easy-to-follow insights that lead to real improvements in local search rankings.
How does Localo handle tracking and reporting on local SEO performance?
Localo provides a dashboard where businesses can monitor their local search performance. We track rankings, visibility trends, and customer interactions on Google Business Profile. Our reporting is designed to be easy to understand, even for users without SEO experience. We also offer competitive analysis, showing how your business compares to others in the area and giving clear recommendations on what actions to take next.
What are some common misconceptions businesses have about local SEO?
One big misconception is that simply creating a Google Business Profile is enough to rank well. Many businesses don’t realize they need continuous optimization—regular posts, updated information, information consistency and active engagement with reviews and questions. Another myth is that local SEO results happen overnight. In reality, it takes consistent effort, and tools like Localo help streamline that process so businesses can see steady growth.
What do you think makes the local SEO SaaS market unique?
The local SEO SaaS market is unique because it serves a wide range of users—from small business owners with no SEO background to agencies managing multiple clients. Unlike general SEO, local SEO is more dynamic, heavily influenced by user behavior, location-based searches, and Google’s changing algorithms. Also, you don’t compete with the whole country or even globe, you’re focused on your location. That means tools in this space must be highly adaptive, user-friendly, and focused on delivering quick, actionable insights.
What advice would you give to new entrepreneurs entering the SaaS industry?
Solve real problems. Too many SaaS products are built around trends rather than actual user pain points. Talk to your potential customers, understand their struggles, and create a solution that truly helps them. Also, focus on simplicity—many users prefer a tool that does a few things exceptionally well rather than one overloaded with unnecessary features. And finally, be ready to iterate. The SaaS landscape changes fast, so staying flexible and listening to user feedback is key to long-term success.
Did you enjoy our interview? Do you have anything to say to our community?
Absolutely! I love talking about local SEO and how businesses can take control of their online presence. To your community—if you’re a local business owner, don’t overlook the power of local search. Small optimizations can lead to big results, and with the right tools, it doesn’t have to be complicated. Keep testing, keep learning, and keep growing! 🚀
