I am Md Golam Mostafa, the Founder and CEO of ThemeDev, NextLand and SoftHap, a well-respected WordPress expert. I have more than 10 years of experience as a senior software engineer. I worked as a lead developer in a software development company and digital solutions for 5 years,
I have started my career building high-quality WordPress plugins, themes, and add-ons that empower businesses worldwide. My expertise lies in WordPress development, SaaS applications, and AI-driven software solutions. Over the years, I’ve worked with various clients across different industries to refine my coding, design, and user experience skills.
What inspired you to start ThemeDev in the first place?
The idea behind ThemeDev was born from my passion for innovation and problem-solving. I noticed a gap in the market for high-performing, user-friendly, and scalable WordPress themes and plugins. Many businesses struggled to find solutions that were both powerful and easy to use. So, I helped them by sharing my development knowledge and the products they deserved. Then, one day, I thought of a company and built ThemeDev, which aims to develop plugins and themes that simplify complex tasks and provide extra functionality to website users. Our themes and plugins are user-friendly and easy to use, even for non-coders.
Can you tell us about the WordPress plugins ThemeDev offers?
At ThemeDev, we offer various WordPress plugins to meet different business needs. Some of our flagship WordPress plugins include:

- Salonly – A salon, gym, and spa booking system for small to medium business owners.
- Cleanly – A multi branches supported cleaning service booking plugin.

- Next Video Reviews – A tool for collecting authentic customer video feedback/testimonials.
- Evental – An event booking and ticket-selling plugin.

In this case, I always focus on quality rather than quantity. I tried to make plugins stand out due to user-centric design, high performance, and user-friendly integration with modern technologies. We focus on:

What challenges have you faced while developing plugins for WordPress?
While there is life, there is also a challenge. I face different kinds of challenges, both technical and practical while developing plugins for WordPress. My ongoing challenges are testing across different hosting environments, cross-plugin compatibility, and security concerns.
What role does AI play in the development of WordPress plugins?
AI plays a significant role in the development of WordPress plugins. Almost all plugins use AI features like content optimization, meta title, and meta description. Many of us use AI-based chatbots to communicate with customers. Today, creating images and videos is super easy with the help of AI.
AI will continue to shape the future of WordPress, making websites more efficient and dynamic.
What advice would you give someone looking to start their own WordPress plugin company?
My advice for those who would enter the WordPress plugin industry
- Identify a real problem and find a solution around it.
- Focus on user experience. A great product is intuitive and easy to use.
- Ensure regular updates to stay compatible with WordPress core updates.
- Prioritize customer support. Happy users will drive your business forward.
- Stay innovative and keep up with industry trends like AI and automation.
How do you ensure your plugins are user-friendly for non-technical customers?
We focus on simplicity in design, easy-to-use functionality, and detailed documentation. Our plugins come with intuitive dashboards, easy-to-use guides, and video tutorials to help users get started. Additionally, our customer support team always assists users with answering various questions they have.
What’s next for ThemeDev regarding new product launches or updates?
We have been working on enhancing our existing plugins features and developing new solutions. Some upcoming innovations include:
- Advanced AI-driven optimization tools for WordPress performance.
- Saas Product is our next innovation
- New integrations with cloud storage and CDN providers.
- An all-in-one business management plugin for WordPress users.
Our roadmap includes expanding our plugin portfolio and making WordPress website management more seamless for users.
